I have to admit, these type of sites are pretty crappy when it comes to
click-thru, ad relevancy, and traffic.  Unless you have something
thats really funny, then people arent going to use it on… other
people!  In case your wondering exactly what this site is used for,
its used for insulting people on forums that say something really
stupid… and yes, they are used quite a bit on forums.  They go in
phases though, yours may be the fad for a while, and then die out when
a better website sprouts up.  This is my least favorite type of website.

Proxies:
Proxies are totally in right now, them and directories.  Probably
because they are so easy to optimize effectively.  They easy to
advertise, especially during the school season, and most school kids
need them to get onto their arcade sites :). So yea, they get pretty
good money with the traffic they get as well.  Not to mention they are
super easy to make… install the script, put your ads on it… and
then put it up on your server!  So proxies… and directories are all
right :).

Anime Download/Streaming sites and forums:
Alright, I just got into this type of website… and Im currently
working on it.  Its a mix of three different kinds of anime
websites… downloading, streaming, and a discussion forum.  Streaming
the videos probably brings in the most traffic, especially since anime
episodes are popular on most video sites, and  the link back from
youtube brings quite a bit of people to the site.  In that manner its
easy to advertise, along with a few good signature links, link
trades… and blog posts (hehe) you should get a bunch of traffic in no
time.  the money aspect of these types of sites is here though.  You
offer downloads to all sorts of anime episodes (which you got somewhere
else… probably another download site)  you upload them to your server
and create a sort of paid subscription for members to be able to view
the download section, and thus download the anime.  All in all, it
works out great… anime sites for the win!

Has always seemed to have the highest click-thru rate, so requires less
